The band takes another first place in the Challenge section at NABBA XV hosted by the Sheldon Theatre Brass Band in Red Wing, MN. The competition pieces (tape) are American Variations (Alan Fernie) and A Malvern Suite (Philip Sparke). Other concerts were held at the Licking Valley Arts Festival with the Pendleton County HS Band, the Seton Series, a Salvation Army Benefit at Montgomery Baptist Church, Finneytown High School and Shane Hayes Fund Benefit at Lemon Monroe HS.

The CBB competes for the final time in the Challenge section at NABBA XVI hosted by the Lexington Brass Band in Lexington, KY, and comes away with a fourth place finish. Other concerts were held at Landmark Baptist Church, the Ohio Music Educator’s Association at Columbus, OH (CD), Harrison High School (Joint Concert), the Shane Hayes Fund Benefit at Lemon Monroe HS, the 150th anniversary of Phi Delta Theta at the Omni Hotel, the Ashland, KY Brass Band & Hot Dog Festival and the Maysville, KY Library Dedication.

Moving up to the Honors section, the band takes first place at NABBA XVII in St Charles. IL, hosted by the Illinois Brass Band. The CBB Brass Quintet walks away with a second (third?) place finish. The band performs at the Ohio Music Educator’s Association in Cincinnati (CD), the Seton Series, the College Conservatory of Music, with the Cincinnati Pops Concert on the Green at Union Central Life and at Riverbend, the Ashland, KY Brass Band & Hot Dog Festival, and at Xenia, OH.
